Join us Friday to celebrate the release of “Imua” a new collaborative cd by Colin John & Dagan Bernstein a.k.a. the Braddahs Ho’analu “going beyond known boundaries”.
Sure to be good music – a blend of traditional blues, Hawaiian slack key and paniolo music played on slide guitar & ukulele + great beer & food and fabulous company! Cheers!
Great lineup of music and two (!) CD releases for you this month!
Red Sea of Cacao was bottled for the first time yesterday at Big Island Brewhaus!
This beautiful & delicious red ale, brewed with Hawaiian cacao nibs, sea salt & pink peppercorns will soon be available across the Aloha state!
Red Sea is the second seasonal bottled by Big Island Brewhaus, a tasty follow up to Holy Humulus, a whole cone hop flower IPA, in the lineup with their three flagship bottles, Overboard IPA, Golden Sabbath and White Mountain Porter.
Just another reminder that Big Island Brewhaus closes at 3pm on New Year’s Eve day and is closed on New Year’s Day!
We wish everyone a safe, happy, fun-filled, creative, courageous, brilliant 2015!
Cheers! Prost! Aloha!

BIG ISLAND BREWHAUS brought home a bronze for their Golden Sabbath in the
Belgian Strong / Specialty Ale category, Hawaii’s only medal in the 2014
Great American Beer Festival. The GABF is the largest beer competition on
the planet; this year more than 5,500 beers were judged in 91 categories
and 268 medals awarded.
Earlier this year Big Island Brewhaus won 2 awards at the World Beer Cup,
the world’s largest international competition and their 4 medals in the
2014 US Open Beer Championship tied as #9 of the Top Ten Breweries in
America – one of only two breweries in the United States whose medal count
in the US Open Beer Championship kept them on the list of Top Ten American
Breweries for two consecutive years.
