BIG ISLAND BREWHAUS brought home a bronze for their Golden Sabbath in the
Belgian Strong / Specialty Ale category, Hawaii’s only medal in the 2014
Great American Beer Festival. The GABF is the largest beer competition on
the planet; this year more than 5,500 beers were judged in 91 categories
and 268 medals awarded.
Earlier this year Big Island Brewhaus won 2 awards at the World Beer Cup,
the world’s largest international competition and their 4 medals in the
2014 US Open Beer Championship tied as #9 of the Top Ten Breweries in
America – one of only two breweries in the United States whose medal count
in the US Open Beer Championship kept them on the list of Top Ten American
Breweries for two consecutive years.
We have a new menu featuring the old Tako Taco favorites and a new, expanded menu including many locally sourced ingredients and more vegetarian and vegan choices. Come on in and give some of the new dishes a try. How ’bout a Brewhaus Falafel Sandwich or some Cumin Roasted Kabocha Squash? Or perhaps some Kalua Pork & Romaine or Rockie’s Famous Fish Bites?
